Cost Of Surgery

There is an initial consultation fee with Dr Cooper that may not be rebatable through Medicare.

Breast augmentation prices depend on the individual’s needs. For example there are two shapes of implants and these vary in price. The implant shape will be discussed at the time of your initial consultation with Dr Cooper and will alter the final price. After your initial consultation with Dr Cooper we supply you with a written quote for the total cost of your surgery.

The cost of cosmetic surgery is made up of these five different fees:

  1. The Anaesthetist’s fees cover your pre-operative consultation with the anaesthetist and the anaesthetist’s services during your procedure.

  2. The hospital fee covers your theatre and bed fees for your stay in hospital. Each hospital has a different fee structure and one hospital may be more expensive than another. Pharmacy fees for medication may be included or may be payable on discharge.
  3. Dr Cooper’s fee is inclusive of his surgical fee, a free pre-operative consultation with our practice nurse, your immediate post operative care and three month post operative check.
  4. Breast implant costs are determined by the shape. Round silicone breast implants tend to be cheaper than anatomical, or tear drop shaped breast implants. The size of the implant does not affect the cost of the implant
  5. A pressure garment is required to be worn continuously for 2 weeks post operatively. We refer you to “Hidden Lace”, Subiaco where you will be fitted for the garment by ladies who are specially trained. The garment needs to be taken to hospital. We do suggest that you purchase two garments so that one can be washed whilst wearing the other.

Payment Time Frame

All fees are required to be paid prior to surgery. The anaesthetist is 5- 7working days prior to the procedure; the hospital is to be paid on the day of surgery, prior to the surgery and Dr Cooper two weeks prior to your surgery date.
