Breast Augmentation Perth, Western Australia WA

Initial Consultation – What’s Involved?

At your first visit you will be required to fill in a registration form, the details of which will be securely filed. You are encouraged to bring a friend or relative to the initial consultation. This third party will help you make an informed choice regarding your proposed surgery.

You will then see Dr Cooper who will discuss the concerns you have about your breasts and the results you would like to achieve. You should be specific about what you would like to achieve. If your surgeon fully understands your expectations, he will be able to determine whether your goals are realistic.  Dr Cooper will then explain the various options available to you, describe the outcomes he expects and advise you of any possible complications or side effects.

During your consultation Dr Cooper will take a full medical history and conduct a physical examination. He will also take photographs. Breast measurements are taken using a calliper and a measuring tape. This will help to determine any asymmetry of the breasts and also help with implant sizing.

Our registered nurse can be present during your physical examination if you choose.

The following are some things to consider prior to meeting with Dr Cooper, and will be discussed with you during your consultation:
  • Breast Implant shape: round or teardrop (link to shape options)
  • Breast Implant size
  • Breast Implant placement: above or below the muscle
  • Breast Implant incision site: inframammary fold, areola, armpit
Following your consultation with Dr Cooper you will meet with Wendy, our Practice Manager, who will organise an estimation of the cost of your surgery and will co-ordinate the booking of your procedure. During this time and prior to the day of your surgery, Wendy will be available to answer any questions you may have. She will organise a time for you to meet with our practice nurse, who will also work closely with you in the work up to your procedure, providing you with all the information you need about pre and post operative care.
